Publication ethics requirements constitute a system of professional conduct norms governing the relationships among the journal's editors, reviewers, and authors. These norms are based on recommendations provided by COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) and international publication standards. 

Editors, reviewers, and authors associated with the International Scientific Journal “Science, Education, and Innovations” are required to adhere to publication ethics requirements and standards of ethical conduct. Principles of integrity and transparency must be upheld throughout the publication process, and the complete and accurate presentation of research and publications is essential. Any instances of non-compliance with publication ethics requirements must be reported to the editorial board at scieduinn@iseic.org. Complaints are accepted within 3 business days and answered within 14 business days; the complainant is notified if the resolution process takes longer. If the complainant is dissatisfied with the process, they may refer the matter to the Editor-in-Chief (+994 50 301 06 26), whose decision shall be final.

CONFLICT OF INTEREST

The International Scientific Journal “Science, Education, and Innovations” is committed to the principles of reliable scientific research and transparency. Therefore, editors, reviewers, and authors must openly declare all potential conflicts of interest (personal, financial, etc.). This information ensures transparency in the evaluation process. To prevent conflicts of interest and avoid unethical behavior, the journal will take measures in accordance with the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

ETHICAL REQUIREMENTS FOR AUTHORS

Safeguarding authors' interests is a priority for the editorial board. At the same time, it is essential that authors also adhere to the requirements listed below:

• The authors of the article submitted to the editorial office must be individuals who have made a significant contribution to the research and actively participated in the preparation of the article, and their consent for the article's publication must be obtained.
• The article submitted to the editorial office must contain reliable results from the authors' scientific research, possess scientific novelty, and not reflect fabricated data.
• Articles submitted to the editorial office must be entirely original; precise citations must be provided when using the works of other authors; plagiarism is unacceptable, and instances of plagiarism constitute a violation of publication ethics requirements.
• Simultaneously submitting an article to other journals or submitting a previously published article for republication constitutes a violation of publication ethics.
• If any scientific error or inaccurate information is discovered in articles submitted to the editorial office, the authors must immediately notify the editors and obtain approval to either withdraw the article or submit a revised version for publication.

ETHICAL REQUIREMENTS FOR EDITORS

Editors prepare articles submitted to the editorial office for publication and are responsible for organizing this process to a high standard.

• If editors have personal or professional relationships with an author that could affect their objectivity, they must openly declare this information and refrain from participating in the evaluation process for that article.
• When making decisions regarding publication, editors must adhere to the principles of objectivity, professionalism, scientific quality, and impartiality.
• Editors must evaluate articles objectively, regardless of the authors' race, religion, nationality, or gender, and must adhere to the principles of fairness, courtesy, honesty, transparency, and objectivity when communicating with authors.
• Editors must not use articles rejected for publication for other purposes and must strictly adhere to the principle of confidentiality.

ETHİCAL REQUİREMENTS FOR REVİEWERS

Reviewers evaluate articles submitted to the editorial office and provide an opinion on whether or not they should be published in the journal.

• If reviewers have any personal or professional relationships with an author that could affect their objectivity during the review process, they must openly declare this information and refrain from participating in the review process for that article.
• Reviewers must evaluate articles objectively and impartially, and strictly adhere to the principle of confidentiality.
• When preparing reviews of articles, reviewers must express their views precisely and clearly, and substantiate both the positive and negative aspects of the articles with solid factual evidence.

ISSUES RELATED TO PUBLICATION ETHICS AND ARTICLE AMENDMENTS

The International Scientific Journal “Science, Education, and Innovations” must adhere to transparent practices regarding the resolution of issues related to publication ethics and the handling of requests for the retraction, modification, or removal of published articles from the record:

• Retraction of published articles: The author or co-authors may retract a published article by formally notifying the editor if they discover any significant scientific error or inaccurate information in the article.
• Modification of published articles: If a significant correction or necessary addition to the article is required, the author or co-authors may submit a single request to replace it with an updated version.
• Removal of published articles: If instances of publication ethics violations – such as the inclusion of fabricated data or plagiarism – are discovered in an article, the published article will be removed from the journal's table of contents, and the author(s) and co-author(s) will be barred from submitting articles to the “Science, Education, and Innovations” International Scientific Journal for a period of three years. Authors may use artificial intelligence tools in accordance with ethical principles during the preparation of the article; however, they must adhere to the following requirements: verifying the accuracy and objectivity of the generated information; ensuring the content reflects the author's own original perspectives; refraining from using AI tools to create images or graphics; and disclosing the name of the AI ​​tool used and the purpose of its use in an “Artificial Intelligence Usage Statement” (which must be included in the Methods section of the article).

PRIVACY STATEMENT

Research data submitted to the editorial office must be kept confidential to ensure the privacy of the research findings and the protection of participants' identities. Sharing of research data is permitted only with relevant and authorized individuals – namely the editor, editorial board members, reviewers, and the corresponding authors. Names and email addresses entered on the website must be used solely for the stated purposes of the journal and must under no circumstances be disclosed to third parties for other purposes.

By adhering to the stated principles, authors, editors, and reviewers contribute to the integrity and quality of the scientific research published in the “Science, Education, and Innovations” International Scientific Journal, as well as to the advancement and transparency of rigorous academic research. Failure to adhere to these principles will result in the return of the submitted manuscript or the implementation of measures outlined in the journal's ethical policy.
